Dahua choose White Rose Office Park for their Northern office location

By White Rose Park September 2018

Dahua Technology is expanding its presence in the UK, with the upcoming opening of a new office, located in the heart of Leeds and marking their first expansion in the UK outside of Maidenhead in Berkshire.

Choosing to open their latest and first office in the North, the White Rose Office Park places the business at an enviable location, alongside other global brands such as Capita, O2 and HSBC and with easy access to the motorway and the city centre.

The world’s second-largest video surveillance solutions manufacturer will benefit from White Rose Office Park’s location, offering exceptional accessibility, fantastic facilities and regular public transport connections to the city centre and wider region.

Who is Dahua Technology?

Dahua Technology is a world-leading solution provider in video surveillance and security technology. The second largest in their industry in the world, the company employs over 13,000 employees globally and their products and services are used in over 180 countries and regions. With 42 subsidiaries globally, including Asia, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Oceania and Africa, Dahua offers their customers unparalleled stable, high-quality and reliable services and products.

Looking North

Dahua has chosen to expand their UK presence into the North of England in order to provide an increased level of support for their local distributors, installers and integrators, provide more accessible and better training and establish a local base for client demonstrations and partner events. Leeds provides the ultimate hub, offering great public transport links and easy access to the M1, alongside establishing itself as one of the key cities to watch within the Northern Powerhouse.

Moreover, Dahua’s connections to Leeds go further beyond the new hub, as the city has been twinned with Hangzhou, the home city of the brand, since 1988, resulting in a boosted number of links with local companies and businesses. Unsurprisingly, the company approached Leeds City Council in their search to find a premium and suitable office space, further building on the existing cooperation which exists between the two cities, particularly in the field of business, education and culture.

Leeds City Region has benefitted from £1billion+ Local Growth Deal which aims to boost jobs, employment and improve growth across the entire region. Leeds is also home to the UK’s largest regional financial sector and is one of the largest digital hubs in the UK, outside of London, with a digital tech sector worth over £6.6billion.

Dahua at White Rose Office Park

“Working with a proactive organisation such as the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership really helps us because the partnership goes out of its way to create mutually beneficial business activities. It has also helped us set up the new office,” said Ben Perkins, Head of Marketing, Dahua UK and Ireland.

David Aspin, CEO of Munroe K added: “We are delighted that Dahua has chosen the White Rose Office Park as the location for their new northern HQ. It’s very exciting to have been to China and met them in Hangzhou and for them to then create a bridge to Leeds and the White Rose Office Park. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming such an exciting and innovative business to the Park and adding Dahua to our growing raft of digital and tech focussed tenants.”
