Leeds-based business, White Rose Office Park, are pleased to welcome their latest tenant Elliott Hudson College.
The college, who provide post-16 education to over 1,000 students, have signed a lease on a 75,000 sq ft office park building to create a ‘dynamic learning environment’ within the unique facility for pupils and staff members. The building itself has undergone a refurbishment of over £12 million to suit the needs of the college, including work to create six computer suites, a dedicated cafeteria, multi-faith and social spaces, as well as a number of state of the art facilities.
Elliott Hudson College is the first educational occupier of White Rose Office Park, which caters for over 5,000 members of staff across 6 businesses to date, incorporating city centre amenities just a stone’s throw from the popular White Rose Shopping Centre.
David Holtham, Principal of Elliott Hudson College, commented on the move to White Rose Office Park;
“In September 2017 Elliott Hudson College moved into MC2, its new state of the art facility which is within the commercial sector of White Rose Office Park.
An investment of over £12 million from the Education and Skills Funding Agency has been invested in this 75,000 sq ft building to create facilities to support academic study. In addition to the 40 teaching areas, MC2 has six computer suites and two Apple Mac suites, providing the college with over 400 PCs for students to use.
As well as investing in more traditional facilities such as the 5 science labs and 4 large libraries/study areas, the college has also shown commitment to more creative subjects by providing a music/music technology suite with recording studios and practice rooms; a drama centre; and an open plan art studio that spans the majority of the mezzanine floor. With additional areas for silent study, multi-faith rooms, landscaped outdoor social areas and an outdoor multi-use games area, the college is in no doubt that the facilities provided will be amongst the best in the area for sixth form study.”
David Aspin of Munroe K commented:
“We welcome Elliott Hudson College and all of its students to White Rose Office Park. It’s great to see a new level of diversity that has already been added to the park, the team have done a fantastic job in repurposing the MC2 building to a fantastic standard and I look forward to the new dimension and energy the college students will bring to White Rose Office Park”
