John Lewis moves to Leeds

Big brand John Lewis has signed a 20 year lease for a 50,500 sq ft distribution warehouse, including 4,000 sq ft of offices. This move will create 65 new jobs for Leeds increasing the city’s growth.

With property investment in Leeds now thriving John Lewis have also decided to build a brand new 252,000 sq ft. store set to open in Leeds in 2016, this will be one of the retailer’s biggest full line department stores outside of London.

‘Mark Robinson, director customer delivery operations at John Lewis, said: “This will allow us to successfully support our customers in the Leeds catchment and surrounding areas with the wide range of delivery, installation and assembly services we have on offer for our customers.”’
